Agency of Medicines
Agency of Medicines protects people’s health through the supervision of medicines used in Estonia. In addition to monitoring the quality and safety of medicines, the Agency of Medicines supervises the production, import, sales and advertising of medicines.
Health Board
The Health Board acts on behalf of public health and a healthy living environment. The Health Board’s fields of activity are health, control of communicable diseases, epidemic control, environmental health, chemical safety and safety of medical devices.

Labour Inspectorate

The tasks of the Office of Public Conciliator include solving work-related disputes, conciliation procedures, the technical and substantive preparation of negotiations, its documentation, and consultations.

The Commissioner for Equal Opportunities is an independent and impartial official who advises and assists anyone who feels they have been discriminated against.
Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Centre
The centre offers rehabilitation services and work-related and vocational courses for adults with special needs.
Health and Welfare Information Systems Centre / TEHIK
TEHIK – the competence centre for the e-services in the fields of health, social security and labour was created in 2017 in the governance of the Ministry of Social Affairs. TEHIK manages information systems and databases of 1.3 million people in Estonia and develops e-services that make administrative procedures with the state faster and more convenient.

The new self-service of the Labour Inspectorate developed in 2020 by TEHIK is the latest state-of-the art solution of cloud technology and microservices – an example that all the country’s e-services are striving for.

E-services for social security
The pillars of e-services for social security are two information systems developed by TEHIK: the information system of the Social Insurance Board and the database of social services and benefits. Thanks to these solutions, over three billion euros a year are transferred to the bank accounts of Estonian people in the form of different support programmes, benefits and pensions.
